Future BFF

Meet Skylar. She's my mom's BFFs daughter. So apparently that means we are going to be BFFs. We'll see about that. haha She's too little now to do much. I tried pulling her hair and poking her eyes while leaning on her. I wanted to squeeze her. I think I'm such a big girl but really I'm only 8 months older which is a big difference now but won't be when we're big. My mom is 8 months older than Emily so it could work. We hung out in the stroller but as you can see I was busy drinking my sippy and Skylar was already down for a nap! Hope these hang outs become more exciting!

11 months

I'm 11 months! Yippee. My teeth came in so I am a much happier kid, at least at night. Ah it feels so much better now. And it's nice to have some teeth to eat all the food I want. I will eat pretty much anything my mom feeds me. Even if I spit it out at first I will put it back in my mouth and eat it. And please don't eat in front of me and don't offer any to me b/c I will yell at you. My brother tries to eat in the car with me like I won't be able to see him or something. So I yell at him. I started taking steps almost a week ago and now I take lots of steps at a time! I'm pretty good. =) Last week when we were at a football game with my mom's friend I even did the bear crawl so I didn't dirty my pants. Everyone thought that was pretty clever. Little do they know it just means I like my clothes and am going to be high maintenance. You think it's cute now...other than that my brother goes to school now so mom and just shop. It gets a little tiring sitting in a carseat to sitting in a stroller or a cart. I wanna move around!! Quite frankly how much more stuff does my mom have to buy for my birthday party?! Anyone going is going to think we threw up cupcakes! Guess my mom is pretty excited to have a girl. Lucky me to be her girl.

Visit with Uncle Joel and Aunt Katy

I was able to hang out with my Aunt Katy and Uncle Joel for a little bit when they came to CT a couple weeks ago. It took a little warming up but I did it. We went to the Maritime Aquarium and then they came to our house for lunch and we went out for ice cream. Always yummy. I'll get to see them again on Friday when I fly with mom out for her cousin's wedding. Mom says it should be interesting with just us on the plane. Not sure what she means about that. I just don't like sitting down for a long time. (more than 2 min)

BEACH

Here's a picture of me standing in my high chair. Now I have to get strapped in. Mom claims my brother did that but how is that possible??!! That kid is crazy! We went to the beach to grandma's and Uncle Steve, Aunt Rachel and Lleyton were there too. I was a little under the weather so I didn't eat as much sand or stay in the water as long but I still had fun. I like standing on the beach chair and climbing up grandma's stairs. I'm quick!

Standing alone!

Among other fun things I have been doing I can stand alone! No hands!! It's exciting. I even dance. It's so fun. I just crawl around and stand up without pulling up on anything. I'm going to keep mom guessing as to when I'll walk though. Maybe before I turn 1yr. and then again maybe not. I have a month to decide!

Big girl

I love going to the front windows and looking out to watch Daddy. I get so excited and squeak and talk when I see him. Then when he leaves I yell and stay there waiting for him to come back. Yesterday 2 men came to power wash our house. I stood there and they sprayed the windows. That was fun. 10 months!

I'm 10 months young now! As you can see in the pictures my teeth are bothering me. I have 4 top teeth still trying to pop. Well 1 has I am waiting on the others. It's painful. I drool a lot and still have a hard time sleeping thru the night. Let's this past month I have been standing a little more on my own, climbing up the Yankee chair onto the couch, getting down by myself, eating lots of new foods. I am officially off the baby food unless it's in a squeeze pack that I "drink". Mom keeps forgetting to post that I help getting dressed by putting my arms up when taking my shirt off and I will put my arms in when putting my shirt on. I started doing that around 8 months. I am terrible when it comes to getting my diaper changed! It's very hard to get me to stay still. My brother will still make me smile no matter what. Even if he's mean sometimes. I like when he hides. I quickly crawl after him laughing. I still love my momma the most. Although sometimes I let other people hold me for a few minutes. Oh we met our new neighbors last week and there's a little girl named Sky who is 7 months. Maybe we'll be friends. Don't think our moms will be great friends but that's ok. One more thing, people in stores keep saying I am small. I guess I am on the shorter side but I don't think I'm that small, my family definitely doesn't either. Can't wait to see what I'll get into this month. Oops one more thing-I like to open the cabinets and play with anything I can find in there. Mom says my brother never did that so now she might have to put locks on the cabinets.
